Abstract

The study aimed to investigate 1) whether the achievement of self-efficacy
participated in Treffinger learning was better than conventional learning, 2)
whether the achievement of mathematical problem solving ability participated in
Treffinger learning was better than that of conventional learning. It was a
quantitative research with an experimental method by Post-test Only Control
Group design. The population of the study were all seventh grade students of SMP
N 2 Kalibagor, sample was determined using cluster random sampling and
selected VII D grade as an experimental class with Treffinger learning and VII C
as a control class with conventional learning. Data analysis was conducted by
Independent Sample t-test to measure one right tailed in the questionnaire and
post-test with…. The Sig. score in the questionnaire was 0.000 and the post test
was 0.000, from both results the Sig. scores, it can be drawn that …. which meant
that Treffnger learning affected self-efficacy and mathematical problem-solving
ability of students at SMP N 2 Kalibagor.
