Abstract
Learning to write narrative essays Motivation to study in class IV SDN Gumbang Kartini UPK Sumbang which has not been effective has resulted in not yet optimal narrative writing skills. Learning to write narrative essays by the teacher uses direct assignments with the reading text media. Therefore, teachers need to utilize learning media to help learning become innovative. Based on this, the problem can be damaged, namely how is the effectiveness of the image media on the narrative writing skills of the fourth grade students of SDN Gugus Kartini UPK Donated? The purpose of this study was to examine the effectiveness of image media on the narrative writing skills of fourth grade students of SDN Gugus Kartini UPK Sumbang. The research design used was True-Experimental Design with a population of all fourth grade students of SDN Gulu Kartini UPK Sumbang totaling 179 people, namely the experimental class 25 people and control class 21 people. Data collection techniques used are tests of performance, observation, interviews and documentation that have been tested before using the Rater reliability test and content validation test. While testing the hypothesis using the t test (independent sample t-test). Based on the results of research conducted, it is known that the data experimental class and control are normally and homogeneously distributed. The price of the pre-calculated t-table is smaller than the t-table (-0.30956 <1.684), meaning that Ho is accepted. Ho is accepted meaning that between the experimental group and the control group have the same variance when pradata. The posttest results indicate that the second data is normally distributed and homogeneous. The price of t-count posttest is greater than the price of t-table (2.072> 1.684), meaning that Ha is accepted. Ha is accepted, it means that the image media is more effective when compared to the direct assignment to the skill of writing narrative essays in the fourth grade students of SDN Gugus Kartini UPK Sumbang. The effectiveness of the image media is expected to be a consideration for the fourth grade teachers of SDN Gugus Kartini UPK Sumbang to apply the drawing media to learning Indonesian with other aspects or material. Utilization of image media is expected to be an effective medium of learning Indonesian.
