The study aimed to find out how the use of remittance affected lifestyle
changes of female migrant worker families in Gumelar sub-district, Banyumas
regency. The study was conducted in Gumelar sub-district with a survey method.
Random sampling technique was used in this study (active female migrant
workers) by taking sample of 69 respondents. Interview was used as data
collection technique. The data were processed by using frequency tabulation with
percentage analysis. It was a descriptive study. Based on the result, it could be
concluded that the remittance was used for the welfare of families in the area of
origin so it resulted in the improvement of female migrant worker families.
