Abstract

The objective of this study is to find out the effects of Discovery Learning model towards students' caring attitude and learning achievement in science. This research used quasi-experimental method with Control Group Design Non Equivalent (pretest and posttest). The population in this study were fifth grade students of SD Negeri 1 PurwokertoWetan. The researcher determined the sample using Purposive Sampling technique.Based on this technique, the VA class was obtained as the control group and the VB class as the experimental group. Each class consists of 25 students.The results of the hypothesis testing used manual and SPSS version 21, namely t arithmetic> t table or 2.708> 2.01. From those data, it was concluded that
