Abstract

This study is entitled Perceptions of School Principals and Teachers Regarding the 2013 Revised Curriculum in Indonesian Subjects and Problems in its Implementation at SMPN Tasikmalaya Regency. The purpose of this study is to find out: (1) the perception of principals at SMPN in Tasikmalaya Regency regarding the implementation of the 2013 revised Indonesian curriculum curriculum; (2) teacher perceptions at SMPN in Tasikmalaya Regency regarding the implementation of the 2013 revised Indonesian curriculum curriculum; (3) implementation of the 2013 revised curriculum at SMPN in Tasikmalaya Regency; and 4) problems with the implementation of the 2013 revised curriculum at SMPN in Tasikmalaya Regency. This type of research used in this research is quantitative and qualitative descriptive. This research was conducted at 10 Middle Schools in Tasikmalaya Regency. The instruments used in this study were interview, questionnaire, and observation instruments. Data analysis techniques in this study used qualitative data analysis and the PAN four scale conversion guidelines. The results of the study based on the principal's perception of the implementation of the revised 2013 curriculum stated that there was a good influence including improving the ability of teachers in developing classroom administration and management as well as the teacher as a student facilitator. While the teacher's perception states that students become centers of learning as well as changes in attitude that lead to better character. The results of this study based on the 2013 curriculum revision of the learning planning stage obtained a percentage of 82.76%, the learning implementation stage obtained a percentage of 74.83%, the learning assessment stage obtained a percentage of 80.28%, and learning observations 71.14% with a very good category.
