This descriptive qualitative research aimed to find out the effect of student's
learning attitude in Bahasa Indonesia learning towards Bahasa Indonesia learning
achievement in the eighth grade of SMP Negeri 4 Purwokerto. The data included the
questionnaire of students learning attitude and documentation of students Bahasa
Indonesia learning achievement in the form of students report card grades in Final
Even Semester Assessment. The results showed that the average of students learning
attitude was 65.09 (fair) and the average of students learning achievement was 77.5
(fair). The results also showed that there was an effect between students learning
attitude and student's learning achievement in Bahasa Indonesia as much as 19.9%
which explained that 1% improvement of learning attitude would give 0.263 effects to
learning achievement.
