The study was a qualitative descriptive which aimed to describe the mathematical reasoning abilities of SMP Bustanul Ulum Paguyangan students viewed from learning styles. The research subjects were students of grade VIII F. The samples were determined by purposive sampling technique by selecting 3 students each from the visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learning styles groups. Data collection techniques were questionnaires, tests, and interviews then it was analyzed by data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results revealed that students with visual and kinesthetic learning styles mastered two indicators of mathematical reasoning abilities; being able to generalize the problems presented based on analogy and being able to prove the truth based on existing problems. However, the students with kinesthetic learning styles experienced difficulties in analyzing the images mentioned in questions. Besides, they are disorderly and incoherent in answering questions, they tended to write down the answers immediately without writing down the information contained in the questions. Meanwhile, students with auditory learning styles were only able to master one indicator of mathematical reasoning ability; proving the truth based on existing problems.
