Abstract
The research conducted at SMA IT Al-Irsyad Al Islamiyyah Purwokerto
aims to find out the effect of the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) learning model
on students' science process skills on the topic of the digestive system. The study
was conducted from February to March 2020. The population in this study were
students of class XI MIPA (Mathematics and Science). The sampling was done
using purposive sampling technique. The sample of students of class XI MIPA 2
was taken as the control class and students of class XI MIPA 4 was selected as the
experimental class. This research is a type of a quasi-Experimental Design with a
Post-test Only Control Group Design research design. Written tests and
observations were used in the instruments in this study. The written test was used
to measure KPS learning outcomes, while the observation was used to measure
aspects of science process skills. F test, Mann Whitney U-test, Kruskal Wallis test,
and eta correlation tests were used as the data analysis. The results showed that
there was an effect of the PjBL learning model on students' science process skills
with a moderate category with a correlation value of 0.427. The effect of the PjBL
model on each meeting has different results. The effect of the PjBL model on
science process skillsinmeeting1was in a very weak category with a correlation
value of 0.132. The effect of the PjBL model on the science process skills in
meeting 2wasin the moderate category with a correlation value of 0.401. The
effect of the PjBL model on science process skillsinmeeting3 is in the moderate
category with a correlation value of 0.568. Therefore, based on these results it
can be concluded that the PjBL model affects students' science process skills on
the digestive system material at SMA IT Al-Irsyad Al Islamiyyah Purwokerto.
