This research aimed to improve language skills through telling using concrete media for the second-year students of TK Aisyiyah BA Lumbir, Lumbir District, Banyumas Regency, in Academic Year 2019/2020. The subjet of this study was 38 children consisting of 22 boys and 16 girls. The study was conducted in 2 cycles consisting of 3 meetings. Observation and documentation were used to collect the data and the data were analyzed by quantitative and qualitative descriptive analysis methods.
Based on the results in this classroom action research, it show that the initial condition of language skills through storytelling with concrete media childrenwas still low, 9 children (24%) had not developed yet, 20 children (53%) began to develop, and 9 children (24 %) developed as expected. After taking action class action research (CAR) in the first cycle, there has been an increase namely 3 children (8%) had not developed yet, 17 children (45%) began to develop, 16 children (42%) began to develop, 2 children (5%) ) developed very well. Since there needed some improvements, this research was then continued to cycle II. The results obtained in the second cycle showed that the success of the study had reached the proposed targets, there were 2 children (5%) who had not developed yet, 2 children (5%) children who began to develop , 29 children (77%) who developed as expected, and 5 children (13%) who developed very well.
Then, it can be concluded that there 29 children or 77% who developed as expected (BSH) and 5 children or 13% who developed very well (BSB). The total success was 90% so that this study was declared successful.
