Starfruit leaves are plants that contain flavonoids, tannins, saponins, alkaloids, and steroids which function as antioxidants. This research was conducted to determine the effect of Tween 80 in the manufacture of emulgel formulations and to determine the antioxidant activity of the emulgel preparations. This research is an experimental research using the DPPH method to determine the IC50 value and continued with the analysis of the results using ANOVA. The emulgel preparation of belimbing wuluh leaf extract had good physical properties based on physical properties testing which included organoleptic, pH, dispersion and viscosity. Tween 80 affects the viscosity and spreadability of the emulgel extract where the greater the concentration of Tween 80, the higher the viscosity of the emulgel, but the lower the spreadability. The results of the antioxidant activity obtained by emulgel preparations of starfruit leaf extract formulas 1, 2 and 3 were respectively 115,89 μg/mL; 124,159 μg/mL; 102,428 μg/mL.
