This study aimed to describe the similarity and contradiction of characterization, storyline, and instrumentation between Filosofi Kopi short story by Dewi Lestari and Filosofi Kopi movie by Angga Dwimas Sasongko. The object was an intertextual correlation between Filosofi Kopi short story and the movie. The intertextual correlation here is the similarity and contradiction to structural studies. The form of data in this study was the similarity and contradiction of intrinsic elements in Filosofi Kopi short story by Dewi Lestari and Filosofi Kopi movie by Angga Dwimas Sasongko. The data sources used in this study were two; short story Filosofi Kopi short story by Dewi Lestari and Filosofi Kopi movie directed by Angga Dwimas Sasongko. The contradictions of storyline and instrumentation are less common than the similarity both in a short story and its movie.
