Abstract
This research aimed to find out students' perception on the use of peer review in writing. The research used survey method. The data were collected by using questionnaire and interview. There were 85 respondents who filled the questionnaire and 5 of them were interviewed. The criteria of validity and reliability were fulfilled in this research. The results showed that most of the students' gave answers in the questionnaire with scores of about 3. It means that the students have a positive perception of peer review in writing. Overall, respondents' perceptions of peer review in writing got an average score of 3.34 and are included in the positive category, thus it can be said that respondents' perceptions of peer review in writing are positive. Then, the result of the interview showed that students have positive and negative perception of peer review in writing. It can be formed that students are aware of the benefits of peer review and then some students prefer teacher review.
