Abstract

The background of this research is the low self-confidence character and the passive virtual learning atmosphere of class VI students at SD Negeri 2 Berkoh Banyumas. This study aims to analyze the application of the inquiry model to develop self-confidence, active learning and obstacles through virtual learning conducted by sixth grade students at SD Negeri 2 Berkoh Banyumas. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative phenomenological method. Data collection techniques through interviews, observation and documentation studies. Data analysis techniques are by preparing data, processing data, coding, describing data / categories, making interpretations in qualitative research. The results showed that the application of the inquiry model through virtual learning could develop students' confidence and active learning. Confidence and active learning can be seen in every learning syntax of the inquiry model. Obstacles to the application of the inquiry model through virtual learning are the lack of focus of students, equating the inquiry model to conventional ones, students being unable to accommodate problems, noise in formulating problems, not being serious in finding sources of information, and technical constraints on networks and devices. In conclusion, the application of the inquiry model through virtual learning, can develop the character of self-confidence, active learning of class VI students at SD Negeri 2 Berkoh Banyumas.
