Abstract

Implementation of Online Learning / Distance Learning (PJJ) has many problems
for teachers at the Korwilcam Dindik Somagede especially for seniors because they
are not very proficient in operating learning support technology tools. The purpose
of this study was to improve the abilities and skills of teachers in online learning
during the Covid-19 pandemic, so that guidance and training activities were held
on the use of Google applications in online learning to make student learning more
effective. The method used in this research is mixed methods (mixed methods)
qualitative and quantitative, Sequential Explanatory research model by collecting
data and analyzing quantitative data in the first stage, followed by data collection
for qualitative data analysis in the second stage. Data collection techniques
through interviews, observation, tests and documentation. The research data
analysis was conducted in a qualitative descriptive manner, while the data validity
technique used the triangulation technique. The purpose of this study was to
improve the abilities and skills of teachers in online learning using the Google
application through the stages of describing the stages of the process, implementing
guidance, impact, responses and evaluating teacher guidance and training
programs in using the Google application during the Covid-19 pandemic. The
stages of the guidance implementation start from identifying needs, formulating
training objectives, compiling training programs, preparing evaluation tools,
training for trainers, implementing training activities, implementing evaluations,
implementing the training process, carrying out final evaluations, implementing
training program evaluations. The results of this study indicate an increase in
abilities and skills in online learning, which initially only 26.7% carried out online
learning to 88.9%, there was a reduction in not carrying out online learning, which
initially decreased to 73.3% to 28.9%. 100% of participants implemented online
learning and received a certificate of graduation, the teacher's response to the
implementation of the guidance program was positive by actively following up on
the guidance activity, and the evaluation of the guidance program was very good,
both from the aspects of the resource person, facilities and facilities received by the
participants. Looking at the results of these graduates, it can be stated that the
training program using the google application is successful.
