Abstract
This research aims to determine the effect of Islamic work ethics on employee performance with organizational commitment as a mediating variable at SL Corp Purwokerto. The population in this research is all employees of SL Corp Purwokerto. The sample used in this study were 130 employees using the Probability Sampling technique. The analysis used was the Model Fit Test (F), t test, Sobel Test, and Determination Coefficient Test (R2).
Based on the results of the fit model (F) model 1 and model 2 have met the model fit test. The results of the t test research concluded; (a) Islamic work ethics have a significant effect on employee performance, (b) Islamic work ethics have a significant effect on organizational commitment, (c) organizational commitment has a significant effect on employee performance, (d) Organizational commitment can mediate the relationship between Islamic work ethics and employee performance. . The Sobel test results concluded that Islamic work ethics has a significant effect on employee performance through organizational commitment. The result of the coefficient of determination (R2) model 1 shows the magnitude of the influence of Islamic work ethics and organizational commitment on employee performance by 8.4%. The coefficient of determination (R2) model 2 test shows that the effect of Islamic work ethics on organizational commitment is 61%.
