Professional competence has an important role and is very influential on the
professionalism that will be shown. The purpose of this study is to describe the assessment of
material experts, media experts and practitioners as well as to analyze the effectiveness of
developing a guidebook for making PowerPoint learning media templates for elementary school
teachers to improve the professional competence of elementary school teachers. This study uses
the Research and Development (R&D) approach to the ADDIE development model (Analysis,
Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate). This research was conducted in the RA Kartini
Cluster, Mandiraja District. The data collection technique was carried out by questionnaires, the
implementation was carried out with tests, and interviews using the experimental class and control
class strategies withthe average posttest obtained by the experimental class has an average value of
88.33 which is 33.33 greater than the control class which has an average value of 55.00. This
shows that the use of manuals is proven to be effective in increasing the professional competence
of elementary school teachers in developing learning media using computers or laptops. This
research produces a guidebook product for making PowerPoint learning media templates for
elementary school teachers with ISBN.
