Abstract
This research aimed to find out the effectiveness of cooperative jigsaw
method integrated with cooperative review in improving students' drama text
appreciation learning outcomes on the eighth grade of SMP N 2 Purwokerto. This
was an experimental research in which to describe the results of the effectiveness of
jigsaw method integrated with cooperative review in improving students' drama text
appreciation learning outcomes. The data analysis used were validity and reliability
to test the instruments of the research and normality test for data
distribution and Mann Whitney and Wilcoxon tests to analyze the data.
This research was conducted in SMP N 2 Purwokerto whose schedule was
adjusted to the process of KBM (Teaching and Learning Process) at school. The
results of this research showed that cooperative review-integrated jigsaw method is
effective in improving students' drama text appreciation learning outcomes on the
eighth grade of SMP N 2 Purwokerto. It was proven by the data analysis results on
experiment group with Wilcoxson test that showed the scores of pretest and posttest
of experiment group. It showed that the value of z count was 4.488 and p was 0.000.
P value was less than significance level of 0.05 (5%).
