Abstract

The low level of students' hard work was marked by students in completing
assignments. Some students did not submit it on time and even there were still
some students who did not do the assignments given by the teacher. It was also
found the lack of enthusiasm of students in class learning as well as student
achievement in the fourth grade of SD Negeri 3 Sempor which is still low. It was
shown from the number of students whose midterm assessment (PTS) had not been
completed, from 24 students, only 12 students who meet the KKM. The purpose of
this study is to improve students' hard work and learning achievement using the
Roputar Probing-Prompting Learning Model on theme 8. This research is a
Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles. The subjects of the
research were the fourth-grade students of SD Negeri 3 Sempor totaling 24
students. Data collection techniques used tests and non-tests. The data analysis
technique used was descriptive qualitative and quantitative. The procedure for
implementing each cycle includes planning, implementing actions, observing, and
reflecting. The data of observations and questionnaires given at the end of the
cycle were used to measure the student's hard work, and the evaluation results in
the form of questions done at the end of the meeting were conducted to find out
students' achievement. From the results of the first cycle, it obtained that the
percentage of students' hard work was 70.25% and the percentage of mastery
learning in the first cycle of the social study was 71% with an average of 66.2 and
Civics was 95% with an average of 78. From the results in the second cycle, it
shows the percentage of students' hard work by 82%, the percentage of mastery
learning social study by 95% with an average of 81 and the Civics of 95% with an
average of 80. So it can be concluded that the Learning Model Cooperative Type
Probing-Prompting Learning using Roputar Media can improve students' hard
work and achievement in theme 8 for the fourth grade of SD N 3 Sempor.
