supplements during pregnancy, but every year the prevalence of pre-eclampsia
always increases. The importance of giving calcium to pregnant women, so that less
calcium consumption during pregnancy will have an impact on the incidence of preeclampsia.
This study aims to determine the relationship between consumption of
calcium supplements in pregnant women on the incidence of pre-eclampsia in the
Banyumas District Health Center in the East Region. The type of research used was
descriptive observational using a cohort design with a retrospective. Sampling of
this study using the total sampling method, researchers took all research subjects
based on inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria as many as 62 people. The results
of statistical tests show that the value of p = 0.017 (<0.05), then H1 is accepted H0
rejected and the odds ratio (OR) = 4.879. The results showed that there was a
significant relationship between calcium consumption and the incidence of preeclampsia
in pregnant women at the Puskesmas in the Eastern Region of Banyumas.
