The aim of this research was to find out students’ perception on mind mapping
technique in writing class. The method of the research was survey study. The
object of this research was the forth semester students of English Education
Department in Universitas Muhammadiyah Purwokerto in academic year 2017-
2018, and the writer took class B and C, consisting of 46 students as the sample.
The writer used questionnaire and interview as the instruments. The students’
perception on mind mapping technique in writing class is 72, 89% and it belongs
to high category. Those, it can be concluded that students have a possitive
perception on mind mapping technique in writing class.
