The purposes of this research were: (1) Knowing how the role of Scout in social care building. (2) Knowing what resistances was faced by the Scoutmaster in carrying out Scout activities in SMP Negeri 1 Bobotsari. (3) Understand the reality of students social care in SMP Negeri 1 Bobotsari. Qualitative method with a descriptive approach were used, because this research was belongs to the field of social science, thus enabling researchers to dig deeper research and find strong research results. The results of the research revealed that: 1) The role of Scouting activities was build the character of social care. 2) Resistances obtained by the Scoutmaster in Scouting activities, namely: 1) Lack of motivation for the attendance of students in scouting activities. (2) Scout activities were still considered to be less attractive, that was indicated by students who lack an active role in this activity. (3) the lack of scout coaches who have attended the basic advanced training, so that not all scout coaches know about scouting professionally. The reality of students social care in SMP Bobotsari was students who actively participate in Scouting activities more caring, easy to coordinate, advised, and tend to be responsive if there is something that needs to be improved.
