Abstract

This study aimed to describe the way teachers conduct a variety of learning along with supporting and inhibiting factors in conducting variations in social studies learning for higher grades of SDN Karangsari, Kembaran District, Banyumas Regency. This research was a descriptive study with a qualitative study. This research was conducted in the fourth and fifth grades of SDN Karangsari, Kembaran District, Banyumas Regency. Data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique employed descriptive qualitative analysis. The results of this study were excellent in general. The teacher had implemented learning by using varied teaching skills on social studies learning. Almost all components in conducting variations were carried out very well. Only a few components were not / rarely done due to several obstacles. The conclusion from this study was that the variation of teaching conducted by SD Negeri Karangsari was already excellent. Supporting factors greatly affected the success of teaching. The inhibiting factor currently was controllable by each class teacher.
