This research entitled “The Analyzis of Exchange Code and Mixed Code at the lyrics of Boy and Girl Band. The aim of the research was to describe kinds and exchange code event at the lyrics of Boy and Girl Band.
This research was an descriptive qualitative. The research consisted of three steps, were: providing the data, analysing the data, and presenting the data. The data ware the lyrics of Indonesian Boy and Girl Band that contained exchaged code and mixed code. The step of presenting the data was using monitoring methode with sequal technique monitor free involve speech. The analysis data was matching methode with based technique choose determiner substance because belongs to tranlational matching methode it was language that to be matched (language). In this step there were steps that should be applied by the researcher to analysis the data the first steps was the researcher found the data of exchange code and mixing code were 73 datas. The second steps the researcher analyzed the events of lyrics of Boy and Girl band that contained of exchange and mixing code. The steps of presenting the data was using informal presenting methode.
In this research found 73 datas, 58 datas that contained exchange code. 25 lyrics of song found 15 data that contained of mixing code. From the research above, the researcher concluded that : (1) the kinds of exchange code and mixing code that found on the lyrics of song Boy and Girl band were extern code and outer code-mixing. (2) the exchang and mixing code‟s event on the lyrics of the song aimed to interpreted contain of the song.
