This study entitled “The Development of Social-Economic Of Fish Merchants In Adisara Village Jatilawang Banyumas”. The purpose of this study was to (1) know the description Adisara Village area, (2) determine how raw material processing performed by the fish merchants, (3) determine the socio-economic development that occurs in fish merchants in the Adisara Village Jatilawang District of Banyumas. This study was conducted using the historical method comprising the steps (1) heuristic is a stage or activity to find or discover the source, data, and information regarding the issues to be raised. The measures are supported by the instrument of data collection such as interviews and observations, (2) the criticism that the process for determining the authenticity of a source of history, (3) the interpretation contains the intention of the interpretation of the data collected after the screening or testing resources, and (4) historiography is the process preparation of the historical facts from various sources that have been selected in writing history. Adisara is located in southeast of the District Jatilawang. (1) The village has population of 4.762 people, more than 3,72 % of the villagers are Adisara fish merchants, (2) at the beginning of the business founded by their ancestors, with traditional processing, although this time the treatment is still maintained, (3) as a result of their socio-economic life of fish merchants fish merchants can develop into better. Here, with the existence of fish merchants of fish merchant in Adisara, Jatilawang Banyumas that have positive impact for the citizens because it could create a new jobs.
