The aims of this research are first, to obtain information objectively about
the forms of the assignment given by the teacher to students during online learning
due to the Covid 19 pandemic; second, to know the steps of assignments; third, to
know the obstacles in assigning the task and online learning; and the last, to know
the efforts made by teachers to overcome obstacles. The method used in this
research is the descriptive method. Data collection techniques used in this
research was using interviews and documentation. The subject of the research was
grade IL IIL and V of SD Negeri 1 Mersi. The data validation in this research was
using triangulation of data. The result of the study shows that the forms of
assignments for students are: (1) Making a summary, (2)Making a Mind Map, (3)
Answering questions, (4) Practicing something, and (5) Making a self presentation
video. The steps in giving assignments cover: explaining the
objectives of the assignment, setting time allocation to complete the assignment,
determining the form· of assignments, providing guidance, giving encouragement,
and assessing the completed assignments.
