Abstract
Teachers as the spearhead in shaping the character of students. Character crises such as corruption, drugs and so on can damage the nation, so the role of educators is expected to change the condition by emphasizing character to students in elementary school. The research entitled "The Role of Teachers in The Development of Character Cooperation Through Learning Media Topkar Food Chain Class V In SD Negeri 1 Semarang, District Banjarnegara, Banjarnegara District", has a problem formulation How the character of cooperation of students of Grade V SD Negeri 1 Semarang so far, How the role of teachers in efforts to improve learning with character hats can improve the character of cooperation, How the role of teachers in overcoming obstacles in learning character education cooperation with Topkar. The purpose of this research is to know the character of cooperation of SD Negeri 1 Semarang, to know the role of teachers in efforts to improve learning with Topkar when improving the character of cooperation and to know the role of teachers in overcoming obstacles in learning character education cooperation with topkar
This study uses a type of case study research with qualitative approach. Data collection techniques used are interviews, observations and documentation. The basis of the theory used is the role of teachers, the character of cooperation and the medium of learning topkar.
Based on the data analysis obtained the conclusion that the character of cooperation of SD Negeri 1 Semarang before the research was less optimal due to the indiviualism factors of teachers and students and the school environment. Efforts to improve learning with Topkar can improve the character of cooperation. Overcoming obstacles to learning with Topkar is to give praise or reward for students who are active in following the learning.
