Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of active participation in student learning using the Numbering Head Together model on student learning outcomes in the biology subject of ecosystem mater class X IPA MAN 1 Banyumas. Quasi-Experimental Method is a method used in research with the design of Post-Test Only Control Group Design. All students of class X IPA became the population in the study using cluster random sampling with the results of class X IPA 1 as the experimental class and class X IPA 2 as the control class. To determine the relationship between student active participation and student learning outcomes, the data analysis test was conducted using the Pearson Product Moment correlation test. The results of the research show that the active participation of students has a significant effect on the value of student learning outcomes with varying levels of relationship. To measure the value of student learning outcomes, a written test is conducted in the form of a Post-Test. The post-test mean score of the experimental class was higher than the control class with an average score of 74.18 in the experimental class while the control class was 70.59. Based on these results it can be concluded that the active participation of student learning using the Numbering Head Together model has a significant effect on the learning outcomes of class X students in MAN 1 Banyumas.
