Cabbage plants are subtropical vegetable plants that are utilized by their leaf heads which are still in buds and are widely planted in Europe and Asia. In cultivation, cabbage is an annual commodity and biologically this plant is biennial and requires vernalization for development. The purpose of this study was to determine: 1) The amount of costs, revenue, and income from cabbage farming in Serang Village, Purbalingga Regency, 2) factors of production affecting cabbage farming production in Serang Village, Purbalingga Regency, 3) technical, allocative, and economic efficiency in the production of cabbage farming in Serang Village, Purbalingga Regency. This research was conducted from January to August 2019 in Serang Village, Purbalingga Regency. This research uses quantitative methods with OLS (Ordinary Least Square) method analysis. Analysis of the data used is farm analysis, cobb-douglas analysis and efficiency analysis. The type of data used is primary and secondary data. Sampling was done by Slovin formula as many as 40 respondent farmers with purposive sampling with several criteria as the sampling technique.
From the results of the study it can be concluded that: 1) The average total amount of costs incurred by farmers is Rp. 2,008,224.88 per one planting season. The average amount of farmer income is Rp. 16,819,687.5 per one planting season. Then the average amount of farmer's income is Rp. 14,811,462.6 per one planting season. 2) From the Analysis of factors of production, it was found that significant effect on cabbage production is the factor of seed production and labor at 95% and 99% confidence intervals. 3) From the analysis of technical, allocative and economic efficiency, it is known that the use of production factors of land area, seeds, organic fertilizer, inorganic fertilizer and labor is technically efficient. The use of seed production factors and labor is not allocatively efficient while the use of pesticide production factors is technically and economically inefficient.
