This research aimed to describe the hegemony level in Sekali Peristiwa di Banten Selatan novel by Pramoedya Ananta Toer. The data of this research were the text including words, sentences or expressions that contained hegemony level in the novel and collected using the technique of reading and taking note. The data analysis techniques included (1) data reduction, (2) data display, and (3) verification. This research used sociology of literature approach. The results that were related to hegemony level were: (1) integral hegemony that included: (a) the hegemony of organization leader toward his subordinates or members, (b) the hegemony of state apparatus toward people, (c) the hegemony of village head toward people (Lurah Ranta); (2) degenerated hegemony that included: (a) the hegemony of village head toward people (Lurah Juragan Musa), (b) the hegemony of company toward people; (3) minimum hegemony that included: (a) village head opposed by people (Lurah Juragan Musa), (b) organization members opposed by people.
