This research was aimed at knowing the condition of school environment of SMP Negeri 1 Karangpucung and its effects on the students’ learning achievement. The method of this research was survey. The better the school environment, the higher the students’ learning achievement. The data were collocted using questionnaire. The population of this research was 198 students of grade IX of SMP Negeri 1 Karangpucung. The samples in this research were 40 students or 20% of the population the samples were chosen through purposive proposional sampling technique.
The results of this study cloncluded that the school environment had an effect on improving the learning achievement of IX students on social studies subjects at SMP Negeri 1 Karangpucung in the academic year 2018/2019. With a significance level of 5%
