Abstract

This research aimed to discover the effect of giving liquid organic fertilizer from
rabbit urine, banana corm, and the combination of both materials on the growth
and yield of bok choy plants
(
Brassica rapa
L.)
. This research was carried out in
the greenhouse of Faculty of Agrotechnology, Universitas Muhammadiyah
Purwokerto located in Karangsari
Village, Kembaran Sub
-district, Banyumas
Regency, from May to June 2018. In this study a completely randomized factorial
design was employed. The factors tested were liquid organic fertilizer from rabbit
urine with the concentration of 0 ml/l, 12 ml/l, 18
ml/l, and 24ml/l; and the
fertilizer from banana corm with the concentration of 0 ml/l, 20 ml/l, and 30 ml/l.
There were a total of 12 treatments with three replications. The observed
variables included plant height, number of leaves, leaf area, wet and dr
y weight of
valuable parts, as well as wet and dry weight of roots. Observation data obtained
were tabulated, then analyzed using variance test (ANOVA). The study indicated a
significant effect of the treatment of liquid organic fertilizer from rabbit urin
e on
the wet weight of valuable parts and the best result came from K3 treatment with
an average of 98.89 g. There was also a significant effect of liquid organic
fertilizer from banana corm on the plant height and the best result came from P2
treatment wi
th an average of 5.26 cm. A significant effect was also seen on the
leaf area of ​​the plant and the best result came from K3P2 treatment with an
average of 16.99 cm2.
