Abstract
The reading program has a positive impact on the ability to write poetry and
narration and encourage students to achieve maximum learning achievement in
school. Thus it can be obtained clarity that the reading program will have an influence
on the ability to write poetry and narration. This research is entitled The Effect of
Reading Children's Literature Program on the Ability to Write Poetry and Narration
in Class VI SD Negeri 3 Slatri, Karangkobar District, Banjarnegara Regency
The research variable is the program of reading children's literary text (X), the
competence to change literature into poetry (Y1) and the competence to transform
literature into narrative (Y2). This research method is using questionnaires and tests.
The analytical tool used is the reliability, reliability, regression prerequisite test and
simple regression analysis. Samples taken using saturated samples, namely the total
population of 29 students
The results of the study: 1) There is an influence between the program of
reading children's literary text (X) with the ability to write poetry (Y) in Class VI SD
Negeri 3 Slatri, Karangkobar District, Banjarnegara Regency, this can be seen from
the results of t-test statistics having a t_count of 2,589 and the value of t table is
1,699, it turns out that t count is greater than the table or 2,589> 1,699 and the
significant value is 0,000 <0,05. This means that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted
which means that the program of reading literary text (X) influences the competence
to change literature into poetry (Y1) thus the first hypothesis is accepted. 2) There is
an influence between the program of reading children's literary text (X) with the
ability to write Narrative (Y) in Class VI SD Negeri 3 SlatriKarangkobar District
Banjarnegara Regency, this can be seen from the results of the t test statistic has a
t_count value of 4.605 and a ttable value of 1.699 . It turns out that the count is
greater than the figure or 4,605> 1,699 and the significant value is 0,000 <0,05. This
means that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted which means that the program of
reading literary text (X) influences the competence of transforming literature into
narrative (Y2) thus the second hypothesis is accepted.
