Cancer is a disease that became one of the leading causes of death worldwide.
Cervical cancer is the second most common cancer in Indonesia after breast
cancer. Number of cervical cancer patients in Prof. Dr Margono Soekarjo Hospital
in 2017 as many as 596 inpatients and 3611 outpatients. The purpose of this study
was to determine the relationship between early sexual behavior and smoking.
This type of research was analytical survey, case control research design using
retrospective approach. The sample in this research was outpatient in obstetric and
gynecology Prof. Dr Margono Soekarjo Hospital. The sample was 70
respondentsfor case group and 70 respondents for control group. Sampling
technique with accidental sampling. The data were collected by using
questionnaires. The results showed there was a relationship between early sexual
behavior (p value 0.000), history of active smoking (0.005), passive smoking
(0.030) to the incidence of cervical cancer. The dominant factor of cervical cancer
of Prof. Dr Margono Soekarjo Hospital is early sexual intercourse (p value 0,000;
OR 6,021).
