The study aimed to describe the concept of Civic Education in building Nation
and Character Building, to explain the concept of Sukarno's Nation and Character
Building, and to explain the relevance between the Nation and Character Building
with Citizenship Education. This study also aimed to describe the implementation
of Sukarno' Concepts about Nation and Character Building in Civics Education,
this is a Literature Study in Civics Education context in Indonesia done by
literature study method with a qualitative approach. The research procedures
include: preparation, data collection, data analysis, and report preparation. This
findings of the research showed that Civics Education (PKn) has relevance to the
Nation and Character Building, in building national character. The
implementation of the Nation and Character Building implicitly shows the
stimulation to encourage the transformation of character values nurturing the
character of students especially national character through Civics Education
learning.
