Vitamin C (Ascorbic Acid) needs to be made fast disintegrating tablets to obtain an immediate effect when the patient is in a mild pain state. Crospovidone is highly recommended for use in analgesic medications. This material can also be used to improve solubility of poorly soluble drugs, by co-evaporation techniques. This study aims to determine the effect of crospovidone on the properties of Fast Disintegrating Tablet vitamin C.The preparation of tablets is done by direct compression method. The tests conducted: uniformity of weight, hardness, fragility, time of disintegration and dissolution of tablets. The results showed that crospovidone will increase hardness and disintegrating time of tablets and decrease the fragility of tablets.
