Abstract

The aim of this research was to find out of the effectiveness of peer feedback for teaching writing at the first grade students in SMA N 1 Sokaraja in academic year 2017/2018. In order to achieve the goal, two class were chosen, namely: class X Mipa 4 consisted 34 students as an experimental class and class X Mipa 5 as a control class consisted 33 students. This research use used experimental method and the instrument of collecting data was test. The test was done twice, they were pre-test and post-test. The type of the test was recount text. T-test formula was used to analyze the data based on the help of SPSS 21.0 application. The result of significant value was 0,015 with α = 0,05. So, significant value smaller than α (sig > α ), because of that hypothesis 0 was rejected (H0 was rejected). It means that peer feedback technique was effective for teaching writing at the first grade in SMA N 1 Sokaraja in academic year 2017/2018
