This research aims to examine strawberry farming by analysing the cost incurred,
the revenue and the profit earned, and the feasibility of the farming activities in
Serang Village, Karangreja Sub-district of Purbalingga Regency. The research
location and respondents were selected through purposive sampling. There were
75 selected-respondents from 300 farmers who meet the requirement of have
continuously planted strawberry within 3 years minimally. The research analysis
include the analysis of farming cost, revenue, profit and feasibility of B/C Ratio.
The research result includes the value of the total cost, revenue, profit and the
feasibility of strawberry farming. The total cost incurred by the respondents is
IDR 19.986.100 per hectare. The average of revenue earned by the respondents
during one planting season is IDR 65.612.648 per hectare. While the average of
the revenue earned by one farmer during one planting season is IDR 56.174.835
per hectare. The result of B/C Ratio analysis on strawberry farming in Serang
Village, Karangreja Sub-district of Purbalingga is 2.32 which means that every
IDR 1 spent for the farming activities will earned IDR 2.32 net profit. Thus, the
strawberry farming is feasible to continue due to its value (i.e. more than 0 and
more than 1).
