Abstract

The type of research used in this study is quantitative research to
determine the effect of capital structure, investment decision, firm size to firm
value with profitability as intervening variabble. The object of this study is on the
company sub sector trade of production goods and consumer goods at Indonesia
Stock Exchange period 2012-2016. The data collection technique used is
purposive sampling while the analysis technique used in this research are
descriptive statistics, multiple linier regression, classical assumtion test, hypotesis
test and sobel test. The result of data analysis shows that the capital structure has
negatif and not significant effect to profitability ,investment decision has negative
and significant effect to profitability, firm size has positive and significant effect to
profitability, capital structure has positive and not significant effect to firm value,
investment decision has positive effect and not significant to firm value, firm size
has positive and significant effect to company, profitability has positive and
significant effect to firm value, profitability can not mediate relation between
capital structure to firm size, profitability can not mediate relation between
investment decision to firm size, profitability can not mediate relation between
firm size to firm size.
