This study aimed to describe the mathematical communication skills and personal
resilience students SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Ajibarang class X TKR 1. The
research is a qualitative descriptive. Sampling was done bytechnique, purposive
samplingthe subject of this research is based on the value of UAS which is
divided into three (3) groups, high achievement, a group of moderate
achievement, and low achievement groups. The instrument used to collect data is
mathematical communication ability tests, questionnaires, interviews, and
documentation. The results showed (1) Students with high achievements to master
all the indicators of the ability of mathematical communication is declared the
situation, the picture, the events of the day into the language of mathematics, and
in explaining the mathematical ideas in writing with the resilience of private
students proved to be good, where students use their potential himself in
completing a given task. (2) Students with achievement was less mastering
communication skills mathematical indicators that explain mathematical ideas in
writing with the students' personal resilience still depend on others to complete
tasks. (3) Students with lower ability not mastered all indicators mathematical
communication skills with the students' personal resilience still depend on others
and passive in asking, argue and in response to another friend's response.
