Abstract

This study aim to test empirically the influence of independent variables of asset structure, profitability,level of debt, tax payment, and company’s age to the dependent variable capital structure which is the capital structuew of consumer goods industry sector listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange. The periods used in this study is 4 (four) years, from 2013 till 2016. The selecting samples which included within period of 4 years so that 60 samples were observered sampling technique is purposive sampling so that obtained 15 companies are included with the period of 4 years so that 60 samples were observed. data analysis techniques in this study are descriptive statistics, classical assumption test, multiple regression analysis and hypothesis test. Based on the result of data analysis, asset structure variable has positive effect to capital structure, profitability variable has positive effect to capital structure, level of debt variable have negative effect to capital structure, tax payment variable has positive effect to capital structure and age of company variable has no effect to capital structure.
