Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the role of civic education in
learning, raise awareness of traffic law students of SMK Seven Five 1
Purwokerto, the method of this research is a descriptive analysis of the study with
the qualitative approach.The subject of this research is the civic education of
teachers and students of SMK Seven Five 1 Purwokerto.The results of this
research is to improve the knowledge and understanding of legal consciousness of
students on traffic, the role of civic education study will be visible in: 1)
Delivering material, civic education teachers Associate or insert material about the
awareness of traffic laws with civic education materials that discuss about the
norms, laws and regulations.2) the use of the method, the civic education of
teachers using learning methods lecture and group discussion to facilitate students
in understanding the material about the awareness of traffic laws.3) the use of the
media, Citizenship education teachers use media LCD for viewing images and
videos that illustrate examples of the behavior of orderly traffic.4) use of learning
resources, Citizenship education teachers improve students ' knowledge and
understanding of the legal awareness of traffic by using law No. 22 of year 2009
that contains the traffic rules and procedures a good drive.Keywords: Learning,
