Abstract
Learning is an activity designed by the teacher so that students do learning
activities to achieve the expected goals or competencies. Learning model that can
help learners to practice problem solving is with the application of Problem Based
Learning model. This learning model can meet these criteria in the learning
process. Exposition text is one type of paragraph development in writing wherein
the content is written for the purpose of explaining or providing insight in a brief,
accurate, and concise writing style. Exposition is a description or description that
aims to explain something for the reader to get information or knowledge.
The results of research and discussion can be taken conclusion, Problem
Based Learning method affect the ability to write class X students SMK Negeri 4
Tasikmalaya. This is shown from the results of hypothesis testing that shows that t
arithmetic> t table (3.717> 2,000) then Hₒ rejected, as seen from the value of Sig.

2,000) then Hₒ rejected, as seen from the value of Sig. (2-tailed) = 0.013 indicates
that <0.05 (since it uses a two-tailed test, then each side is split in two to 0.025).
Then Hₒ rejected, it can be concluded that the Problem Based Learning method
affects the ability of linguistic grain analysis and writing exposition texts
