This study discusses the characteristics and persuasive techniques of motivator's
speech on talk show & ldquo;Genersi Emas” on TVRI youtube April 2017.
This research uses descriptive qualitative. This research's data are motivational
speeches spoken during the talk show. The data source in this research is TVRI
youtube of talk show “Generasi Emas” in April 2017. The data
compilation stages is divided into three, namely (a) data collection that has been
marked by data recording, (b) sorting by removing unnecessary data, (c) structuring
according to the persuasive characteristics and techniques that have been recorded
and sorted. The analysis stage of this research using matching method, with the basic
technique used is the Determinant Elements technique. The presentation phase of data
analysis is using informal method, here the data presented by using ordinary words.
The research resulted on persuasive characteristics so called persuasion, empowered,
resourceful, and producing persuasive techniques: rationalization, identification,
suggestion, conformity, compensation, replacement and projection.
