The aim of this research was to find out the effectiveness of
videos
for teaching
writing
procedure text
at the

grade of SMP N
8 Cilacap
in Academic year 2013/2014.This

arch was conducted by using quasi experimental research. The participants
of this
research were the

grade students of SMP N
8 Cilacap
. There
were two classes which
