Abstract

Dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) is a viral disease caused by the dengue virus from the bite of
the mosquito Aedes aegypti. The number of dengue cases in Indonesia in 2004 reached 64,000
(incidence rate of 29.7 per 100,000 population). DRPs case of 46.67% less dose for pediatric patients of
dengue in Klaten. The purpose of this study is to know the existence of DRPs kejadan category requires
medication, do not need drugs and drug doses and excessive doses less DHF pediatric patients in
hospitals and hospitals Ajibarang Banyumas. This study was conducted retrospectively by taking data
from medical records of 2010 and analyzed by descriptive non-analytic. Samples were taken by
purposive sampling method with some inclusion criteria. Obtained a sample of 140 patients according to
inclusion criteria. The results of this study found that the events DRPs categories need drugs, do not take
drugs and drug doses less and excessive doses in the treatment of pediatric patients of dengue with a
percentage of 4.55%. For the category of need medication, the category does not need medication, less
dose category, the category of overdose. The use of paracetamol is in a category of cases with massive
doses of less than approximately 2.41%. In the selection of the parameters and rules of use of drugs
administered drug DHF pediatric patients according to the Ministry of Health, WHO Formulary for
Children.
