The study, entitled "Contribution to the Effectiveness of Reading Reading Interest Junior High School Students in Purbalingga odd Semester Academic Year 2011/2012", aims to determine the contribution of the effectiveness of reading and reading to find out meaning factors influence the effectiveness of the reading interest in reading. Types of methods used in this study is expost facto research method is a method of research that aims to uncover the facts that exist and the study was conducted in a relatively fast.
The results obtained in this study is a contribution to the effectiveness of the reading interest in reading, the keberartian factors influence the effectiveness of the reading interest in reading. It is proved the existence of the facts on the ground through multiple-choice test data (objective), non-test (questionnaire) and documentation. By dividing into three strata according to location, namely (1) Urban, (2) Sub-Urban (3) Rural.
Calculations using the product moment correlation formula to determine the contribution of reading to the effectiveness of reading, the acquisition value is 0.6 for urban, 0.7 for sub-urban, and 0.8 for rural. While the calculation using the formula to determine the coefficient determinant meaning factors influence the effectiveness of reading to reading, the acquisition value is 36% for the rural poor in the category mean, 49% for sub urban means in the category of being, and 64% for urban areas means that the category strong.
