Abstract
SITI MARYATI. The effect of Curcuma Milk Present to the parameter of Paracetamol Pharmacokinetic on Wistar male Rats. Supervised by WIRANTI SRI RAHAYU and ANJAR MAHARDIAN KUSUMA.
Background: The existence of interaction between drugs and food and beverage occurs many times. Providing curcumin in the milk, while it is given together with paracetamol may effect to the interaction that influence to the parameter of paracetamol pharmacokinetic. The interaction is in the form of inhibition of paracetamol metabolism by curcumin that one of the ability is to make inhibition in cytochrome P 450 while this roles as in paracetamol metabolism.
Aim of the research: This research was done to reveal the effect of milk curcuma that contains curcumin to the parameter of pharmacokinetic paracetamol on Wistar male rats.
Research Method: The method of this research was experimental with “Posttest only control group design” and “one way anova” as the method of data analysis.
Findings: The value of pharmacokinetic parameters in each group made some differences. Cpmax value in group I with paracetamol in 150 mg/kgBW dosage was 4,129 μg/ml, Cpmax value group II with 150 mg/kgBW dosage and curcumin present in curcuma milk 0,9 mg/kgBW dosage was 3,942 μg/ml and Cpmax value of group III with 150mg/kgBW dosage and curcumin in curcuma milk 1,35 mg/kgBW dosage was 3,916 μg/ml. Clirens was declining in each group. Clirens value of group I was 88 ml/minutes, group II was 87 ml/minutes, and group III was 85,2 ml/minutes. This declining influenced to the increasing of AUC value in group II and group III. However, it statistically showed insignificant result (p>0,05).
Conclusion: it can be concluded that the present of curcuma milk together with paracetamol through oral did not effect to the parameter of paracetamol pharmacokinetic in wistar Male rats.
