Abstract

Purwokerto is a capital city of Banyumas Regency which has many health
facilities, such as hospital. Hospital consists of several health element, one of them
is doctor. Doctor is a health worker who has authority and permission in health
law to examine and cure illness. Doctors also need a place to do independent clinic
outside the practical hours at hospital in order to do health effort. Currently,
Association of Indonesian Doctors or Ikatan Dokter Indonesia (IDI) in Banyumas
as a cope organization for medical profession doesn’t have any geographic
information system which provides location information and doctors practice
schedule in Purwokerto area, and this condition makes the society could not get the
accurate information of doctors practice schedule and location. To overcome this
problem, IDI Banyumas needs a suitable system to ascertain the clinic doctors
location in Purwokerto area. In developing the geographic information system,
there are five processes needed, those are requirements definitions, system and
software design, implementation and testing unit, integration and system testing,
and the last stage is operation and maintenance. The result of this system
development is the Android-based application concerning geographic information
system about the clinic doctors location in Purwokerto. This application will enable
users to search doctors name, filter on doctors competence field, show clinic
doctors details that will contain front photo of clinic doctor, address, schedule, and
marker view on the map. Therefore, this system could help society and IDI
Banyumas in order to look for doctors practice schedule in Purwokerto area.
