The study was aimed at finding out the expenses the farmers should provide to run
their wet-field paddy agribusiness by implementing the integrated crop cultivation,
the income of the farmers, and the level of the integrated crop cultivation in the
Kebasen District, Banyumas Regency.
The research method adopted was the survey method applying the multistage
sampling and it results in 60 respondents. The analysis method was tabulation by
tabulating the expenses and the revenues the farmers made in a harvest season. The
agribusinness’s expense or total cost (TC) = Total Fixed Cost (TFC) + Total Variable
Cost (TVC). The revenue of the business or total revenue (TR) = the produced results
or quantity (Q) + a unit price or price per quantity (PQ). The farmer’s income or the
profit = total revenue (TR) – total cost (TC).
Kebasen district was a part of the Banyumas regency. Most parts of the area are used
for agriculture. The crops in the district are mostly the paddy or the rice. The results
of analysis show that the age of 41,6% respondents are in the range of 49-64 years
old, the education of 61,67% of them have only an elementary education, and 65%
farmers only has a wet field area less then 0,5 hectare. The total cost of the
agribusiness is averagely about Rp. 5.098.791, and the total profit the farmers gain is
about Rp. 4.558.059,- in average. The average application of integrated cultivation is
76,6%.
Based on the conclusions above, it is recommended that the use of seed and organic
manure should follow the instruction, and the post-harvest treatment should use the
power tracers.
