Abstract
Background: DHF disease is one of dangerous infectious diseases that can cause
death within a short time if not handled properly. Therefore, patients who detected
dengue were diagnosed and underwent inpatient management should get prompt
treatment to prevent a more dangerous condition, that is by providing drug
treatment and the appropriate dose, especially for pediatric patients in the dose
calculation should be kept.
Objective: The study was detected to determine incidence of dosage and drug
therapy problems in pediatric Hospitalization patients Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever
(DHF) Askes and Non-askes in Prof. Dr. Margono Soekarjo Purwokerto Hospital.
In addition also to see payment systems influence to the incidence of dosage and
therapy problems.
Materials and Methods: The type of analytic observational study is cross
sectional approach and use Independent T-test analyze method. The Research
subjects used as a sample of dengue pediatric hospitalized patients Askes and
Non-askes in Prof. Dr. Margono Soekarjo Purwokerto hospitals. The total of
samples taken by study subjects were 90 pediatric Askes patients and 90 pediatric
are Non-askes patients.
Results: Dosage too high problems often occur in Askes patients (P value =
0,759), and dosage too low more frequently in Non-askes patients (P value =
0,999). Most therapy problems occurs in Non-askes patients, the form of requiring
additional therapy (P value = 0.988) and unrequire medication (P value = 0.759).
Conclusion: There was no significant difference between the incidence of dosage
and therapy problems in the DHF treatments for pediatric patients Askes and Nonaskes.
That mean the payment systems doesn’t affect to the incidence of dosage
and therapy problems.
